Stonewood Tavern & Grill Restaurant Review:
The Dr. Phillips location of Stonewood Tavern & Grill is remarkably similar to its sibling in Heathrow---dark wood décor and an upscale, cozy ambience. If you have to wait for a table, start with a cold martini garnished with a plump blue-cheese-stuffed olive. The food is predictable but good: appetizers like buffalo shrimp, blue cheese chips, and bruschetta; and entrées including a 12-ounce grilled rib-eye, ginger-lime glazed salmon and grilled rosemary-garlic lamb chops. Grilled pork chops come two to an order and are plenty to share when you order an extra side. Or opt for a chicken potpie and a hefty pot roast platter with roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Nothing cutting edge, but you'll have a dependable meal in a comfortable setting, a winning combination for return visits. A gluten-free menu pares down favorites for those with dietary challenges.
