Stoney Point Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Italy native Amedeo Costantino’s neighborhood haunt has delivered continental and Italian specialties since 1994. The green and white dining room is decorated with photographs of Pasadena from a bygone era, when Harvard played in the Rose Bowl. Piano music --- occasionally punctuated by a brief operatic outburst --- wafts from a lively bar adjoining the dining room. Recommended dishes include starters like Dungeness crab cakes with an orange citrus sauce, as well as larger plates such as lamb chops with a light Dijon mustard sauce and minced kalamata olives; chicken tortellini in cream sauce with prosciutto and peas; and classic cioppino with assorted shellfish in a spicy tomato broth. For dessert, order a slice of cheesecake with raspberry sauce, or indulge in a chocolate soufflé for two. The wine list features many notable California labels. Lunch features specials like sand dabs with creamy lemon and capers, and chicken paillard.
