Boston's original beer mecca, this local legend has endured through the brewpub era by maintaining a staggering selection of bottles and drafts from all over the world. There are more than 100 beers on tap, not to mention another near 400-bottle collection of microbrews. To complement the beers, the sprawling menu of, well, just about everything, is served up in equally huge portions. A half order of the south of the border giant fiesta nachos is even better when topped with Cajun chicken and black beans. We like the creamy spinach and artichoke potato skins, garlic fried calamari and the raspberry swordfish sticks, and these are just the appetizers. Main events like pastas, Yankee Beer-B-Q, sirloin tips, pulled pork quesadillas, teriyaki habanero wings, steamed beer burgers, shrimp fajitas and more abound. Don't forget to share a basket of sour cream and chive fries served with a side of ranch dressing for dipping. Décor is faux-old-fashioned, featuring plenty of brewery memorabilia.
