Suppenkuche Restaurant Review:
This party-heavy place inspires an interest in and a taste for upscale German food. Minimally decorated and expansive, the restaurant has communal tables with pine picnic benches, encouraging boisterous shared meals with the restaurant's clientele (who are mostly young and appreciate beer). Entrées are robust, of course, with smoked pork chops at the top of the list. But why start there? The fresh salads, dense breads, hearty sauerkraut and sausages, spätzle with oxtail stew, fish specials and chunky mashed potatoes are equally satisfying---and best savored with a two-liter boot of hearty German beer.
