This Rockville branch of Tara Thai has the same underwater theme with a twist: you’ll find the expected sparkling blue-greens and splashing fish, but the entranceway has a waterfall over the front door. Inside, mock bamboo and crackled glass create private booth-like tables. Like its sister restaurants, this Tara Thai offers crispy spring rolls, steamed mussels, honey-roasted duck, stir-fried soft-shell crabs and whole crispy fish. Try the Golden Triangles (fried tofu) with the sweet, hot dipping sauce bursting with flavor.
