Thirsty Marlin Grill & Bar Restaurant Review:

As the name implies, seafood is one of the staples of the menu, but this is not just another surf ‘n' turf venue. For one, it's a lunch destination for local officials and residents, and it sits just a few steps from a weekly farmers market in this trendy Gulf Coast community. The menu is full of goofy wordplay like "Good to the Gills," which heads the list of fairly standard sandwiches, and "Thirsty's Favorites," in this case including a choice of Caribbean jambalaya (shrimp, jerk chicken, sausage, roasted red peppers and yellow rice) and sailfish scampi, which doesn't include any sailfish but does include ten shrimp sautéed over "a pelican's nest" of angel hair pasta, with a side of garlic bread or mahi mahi corn fritters. So even though some items may be misnomers, the preparation is reliable, generally timely and generously portioned. For dessert, try the Marlin Fried cheesecake.
