This spacious restaurant, which serves simple and satisfying comfort food, resembles a tastefully appointed but unimposing living room. It is for many a neighborhood go-to establishment, with brick walls, wooden railings, well-spaced tables and chairs, and a ceiling with exposed wood beams that make for a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu’s typical bar and grill selections include some more unusual starters like a basket of beer-battered banana peppers and melted mac ‘n’ cheese bites. Sandwiches such as pesto chicken with Tater Tots and corned beef on rye with a side of french fries are reliable favorites. Salads range from crunchy taco with nacho to baby popcorn shrimp varieties. A cut above the standard choices among the entrées is the chicken breast sautéed with mushrooms and a splash of whiskey in a light cream sauce. Corned beef ‘n’ cabbage, a St. Patrick's Day must and an Irish pub classic, can also be found on the menu. There's a wide selection of drinks and beer and a popular happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
