Tiramisu Ristorante Italiano Restaurant Review:

The older sibling of Il Corso, Tiramisu Ristorante Italiano has a softly illuminated semi-formal dining room with intimate seating. The location, in a mundane strip mall off Highway 111, seems out of step with this authentic trattoria. Sicilian-born chef-owner Mario Marfia capitalizes on his heritage with an array of Italian dishes from the south region of his homeland. Sliced octopus is reflective of Marfia’s time spent working in the Mediterranean area; it comes with arugula, tomatoes and a dousing of lemon dressing. Fettuccine alla Bolognese is served with a rich veal ragoût. Sogliolette al limone is sand dabs with lemon, capers and butter sauce accompanied by julienne vegetables. Risotto plays a prominent role on the menu. A lengthy wine list, which features two dozen varietals by the glass, is rich with Italian selections, as well as those produced in California. For dessert, what else? Tiramisu, of course.
