Tue Restaurant Review:

Pronounced like something between a click of the tongue and a quick spit, Tue is named after its owner. The smart yet Spartan interior is clad in white, accented by randomly placed Edison light bulbs hanging from the ceiling. Service is efficient to the point that entrées sometimes arrive at the table before appetizers are finished. But beside that, the menu is solid, offering the usual Thai standards as well as a few rarities: chive-vegetable pancake with a black bean and mushroom dipping sauce is refreshing on the palate, as is the papaya salad. Entrées run the gamut of noodle dishes like pad thai and five styles of curries, and ginger-spiced sautés. Basil lovers should add an order of spicy basil fried rice to any order. Tue isn't exactly reinventing the cuisine, but it's affordable and tasty enough to warrant return visits.
