Leesburg’s Tuscarora Mill offers a little of everything for the devoted gastronome and history buff. The restaurant occupies a former working mill, and maintains both a fine dining aspect and an onsite bakery-café producing baked goods that grace the lunch and dinner menus in the main dining area. Add to that the place’s charm, with its large wooden beams, plank floors and still-operational mill parts. Dinnertime options include dishes like Maine lobster with sweet potato polenta, smoked chicken penne, and grilled beef and seared scallops. Available in the café is the grilled Angus burger with smoked cheddar.
