Urban Taco Restaurant Review:

Just off the busy sidewalks of Mockingbird Station is an escape to Mexico's culture and cuisine. Owner Markus Pinyero incorporates authentic south-of-the-border tastes that forgo the city's over-saturated Tex-Mex influence in favor of flavors reminiscent of a true taqueria. The arrachera steak al carbon taco (grilled adobo marinated steak laced with red salsa) and the pollo con mole (chicken, homemade mole sauce, crema, pickled red onions, sesame seeds and queso fresco) are both built upon fresh corn tortillas. A salsa trio and warm strips of lightly dusted tortilla chips nearly make a meal. The avocado-lime crema stands above the suite of salsas with its silky consistency and fine balance of avocado and lime. Mexican beers, varying margaritas, palomas and mojitos quench the thirst while the churros with dulce de leche ice cream and chocolate sauce satisfy the sweet tooth.
