W's China Bistro Restaurant Review:

The dining room at W’s is stylishly modern but distinctively Chinese --- and that’s an apt description for the food, as well. Fernando, Roberto and Marcelino Chong, brothers who immigrated from Peru in 1975, incorporate South American and European ingredients into menu choices, and the result is daring fusion food that never seems forced. Many of the items are inspired reinventions of traditional Chinese dishes. Guests might begin with one of many intriguing “dim sum” options --- think chicken tamales wrapped in a banana leaf or crab-stuffed “cigars” with macadamia nuts and Dijon-mango-lime dipping sauce. Highlights further down the menu include steamed salmon with lemon-soy sauce and shiitake mushrooms and beef tenderloin saltado. The seventy-bottle wine list is well-chosen and the servers are adept at pairing the right selection with the cuisine. For dessert, skip the ubiquitous flourless chocolate cake and order banana and walnut spring rolls, served à la mode with brown sugar, cinnamon and the house five-spice caramel sauce.
