Geno Bahena, the executive chef and proprietor of Mi Sueno, burst on the upscale Mexican restaurant scene a few years ago. Now it appears he wants to explode. This is his third restaurant, and number four is coming along. Pretty fancy stuff here. Table cloths, good china, two-level dining room, nice little bar. Service is generally good and informed (my questions about the different mole sauces were handled with ease). Good things to try: sopes surditos (corn masa boats filled with assortment of chicken in mole, plantains and guacamole for an appetizer; adobo marinated beef tenderloin tips with manazano chiles and bacon for an entrée. Young adults might enjoy the experience, but children under 12 might be wishing they were at one of the fast food places that dot the street.
