When you get a craving for a good burger, you can’t go wrong at Mick’s. Whether you choose the original bacon-cheddar number, the bacon bleu or the hickory cheddar, you’ll get a great big sandwich on a tasty whole-wheat or sesame-seed bun. The menu includes just as many chicken sandwich variations, and lots of fresh salads. For the really hungry, there are steaks, chops and ribs; half a dozen pastas; and Southern-style options like fried chicken fingers, old-fashioned meatloaf and chicken potpie. This is a great place to bring kids, and they get their own menu of things they like in pint-size portions. For dessert, try the Oreo cheesecake or chocolate cream pie. Consistency and service may slip from time to time; nevertheless, the place is light and bright with lots of mirrors, and sometimes quite dramatic visually.
