THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mihran's Restaurant Review:
Mihran Ghadanian, an Armenian who learned to cook while growing up in Lebanon, serves satisfying Armenian food in a dining room accented with mirrors and brass light fixtures, and tables nicely set with flowers and white tablecloths. Start with basturma (thin-shaved smoked beef heavily seasoned with garlic) or soujouk (grilled Armenian sausage). Then dine on anta kali kebab, plate-length cylinders of juicy minced beef that are blanketed in parsley, chopped tomato and sliced onion before being crowned with wedges of grilled pita. Vegetarians will delight in dishes like moutable, a smoky eggplant dip that's delicious slathered on pita bread. For adventurous diners, a Mihran’s specialty is pan-fried frogs’ legs, seasoned with garlic, lemon juice and cilantro. If you actually have room for dessert (doubtful), order the house-made baklava.
