THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ming Garden Restaurant Review:
While the décor of this classic Chinese restaurant remains stuck in the seventies, the kitchen has managed to move its culinary feet up a generation. Old-timers (and there are many) can still find General Gaus chicken along with other stalwarts in the legendary army of long-time Chinese favorites. The modern side is inspired by Hong Kong and includes some seafood and banquet offerings. A separate, curtained-off section of the large room also features a comfortable sushi bar and small Japanese menu. Weekend dim sum is an all-you-can-eat affair and draws many Chinese families who populate the western suburbs while the weekday luncheon buffet is a long-standing institution.
