Tucked away in the quiet neighborhood of Bernal Heights, this sushi house has built a devoted following of locals. Surely, they wouldn’t want the secret of an inventive menu and unpretentious atmosphere to slip out. Already, there is usually a crowd milling about outside the door through the busy dinner seating. Superbly crafted rolls, some of which are dipped in tempura batter and deep-fried, are the main lure. Other hits include the addictive spicy corn fritters with an Indonesian dipping sauce and the filet of salmon served with rich coconut rice and a zingy mango and cucumber sambal.
