Most business at this express location is drive-through, although there are a few seats outside. A favorite is red beans and rice, the properly cooked mélange yielding a creamy texture. Order it vegetarian or add andouille sausage. Jambalaya and po’ boy sandwiches make the grade. The two-piece fried catfish dinner with fries and homemade slaw is good economical meal. Excellent house-made rémoulade sauce will cost you 50 cents per additional cup but you’ll want at least two. For dessert, it’s a hard choice between sweet potato pie or bread pudding.
