MRKT Sea & Land Restaurant Review:


A chic, elegant vibe prevails throughout this restaurant via rich wood accents, decorative glass light fixtures, a sleek circular bar, and a wine cellar housing 5,000 bottles. Dishes are enhanced with produce and fruit sourced from Cowboy Trails and Gilcrease Orchard, located just a few miles away, and herbs grown in a glass enclosure at the entrance to the restaurant. Begin with the seafood tower, offering the best of the sea with lobster, Alaskan king crab, lump crab, shrimp and oysters, or a strawberry and spinach salad with Gorgonzola and candied walnuts. Highlights from the land side of the menu include several cuts such as filet mignon, rib-eye and New York strip. From the sea, there's seared ahi, sautéed scallops, crab and lobster. A side not to be missed is the creamy and rich butternut squash gratin. Complementing the menu is a wine list with more than 300 labels and 20 wines available by the glass; 70 whiskey, Scotch and bourbon selections; and several craft beers. The chocolate ganache tart or the berry bowl with sweet cream are sweet endings. During the warmer months lunch is served in MRKT's outdoor café, The Patio, featuring an array of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrées, such as bacon-wrapped stuffed dates with smoked almonds, blue cheese and a red wine reduction.
