THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Murray's Glasshouse Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Chef Michael Baker has experience cooking in Hawaii and his roots take hold at times at Murrays. His macadamia nut-encrusted rack of lamb will satisfy carnivores, as will the volcano-spiced New York steak, dry-aged in-house. Baker puts together a whimsical reconstructed California roll: layers of sushi rice, crab salad and avocado relish topped with flying fish roe caviar. Another winner is his shrimp and scallop pot stickers, an elegant creation paired with a green papaya salad and a chile vinaigrette. He works wonders with the lemon-pepper roasted free-range chicken with shiitake jus and napa cabbage. Passion fruit cheesecake is a sinful and satisfying dessert. Illuminated palms and flowering plants behind glass walls that partially surround the dining room create a tranquil greenhouse effect that is a perfect match for the food.
