When in Hollywood on National Donut Day (the first Friday of June), what better way to celebrate the round, hollow sweet treat than to have donuts with an actor? This is exactly what I did with actor Danny Trejo, who for years has been the proud owner of Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts.

For the occasion, Trejo partnered with Pop POPCORN. Four donuts were created with the different popcorns:
– Cookie Pop made with Nutter Butter®
– Candy Pop made with Sour Patch Kids®
– Cereal Pop made with Fruity Pebbles® cereal popcorn flavors
– and a special PRIDE edition donut made with Cookie Pop made with OREO®.

If you’re thinking “sugar,” yes, you are totally right, but all proceeds from the popcorn benefit the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. It is “Sugar for a Cause,” so don’t feel that guilty. And I have to admit, the donuts are quite good. We also got to dance to the music of DJ Troy Pes.
