Negril Restaurant Review:
One of the granddaddies of local Caribbean fare, Negril helped point the way for today’s flock of casual Caribbean restaurants, where good food at bargain prices attracts loyal fans. We’ve often stopped in to pick up a goat roti, but you may want to tackle one of Jamaica’s big-flavor specialties: jerk chicken. You can eat in at one of the few tables, but chances are you’ll carry out, as many customers do. Either way, get a coconut custard tart or one of the other cakes on display. Since its first days in Washington, DC, Negril has expanded to several other locations, making it easy to satisfy a roti craving at many points around the Beltway.
