Minimalist décor is married with soothing mood music at this local Thai spot that turns out flavorful, albeit Americanized, Thai dishes. Select from the list of house specialties starting with an appetizer of Thai dumplings; rice tarts filled with mushrooms, vegetables and pork and served with ginger sauce; or crispy sea rolls that you roll yourself with cool lettuce leaves, bean sprouts, cilantro and a fiery special house sauce for dipping. From there, move on to stir-fried chicken, beef or pork, with roasted red peppers; shrimp or squid---or both---in a hot, spicy curry sauce; or crispy red snapper topped with triple-flavor sauce. Nit Noi has even more fun with its "Off the Menu" menu, which also leans heavily on fresh seafood items that are sometimes paired with chicken or beef. For dessert, sample the special glutinous rice with mango, when in season.
