THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ocean City Restaurant Review:
HURRICANE KATRINA: this establishment is currently closed. For a New Orleans Travel Update as well as resources, information and help click here. Formerly known as Mr. Tai's, this Old Metairie restaurant fell into the hands of Richard Wu, a former New York restaurant owner who attempts to introduce Orleanians to the range of Chinese seafood preparations begun a few years back at Ding How in Metairie. At Ocean City, Wu offers a respectable, if expensive, shark's-fin soup; jelly fish and cold meats, a sort of Chinese antipasto platter; sizzling hot pots filled with clams, grouper and sea cucumber in various aromatic broths; and whole fried fish painted with sweet-salty Hunan sauce. Ocean City's atmosphere is a bit dismal, almost haunted when it's slow, but if you come for the seafood you won't feel lonesome.
