Odyssey Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: Tucked into the hills above the Valley is this sprawling restaurant with multiple banquet rooms that are popular for everything from local service club meetings to wedding receptions. The views are undeniably spectacular, and the food can often feel like an afterthought.
Food & Drinks: Endearingly the product of another era, this is the kind of place where shrimp cocktails and crab-stuffed mushrooms with hollandaise stand out as appetizers, while the entrée selection is represented by scampi, salmon with beurre blanc and steaks. Dishes also include a 12-ounce prime rib seasoned and slow-roasted to retain its natural juices, served au jus and with creamy horseradish sauce, while pistachio-crusted rack of lamb with mojito-pomegranate glaze is among the most ambitious efforts. On weekends, moderately priced buffet brunches attract big crowds.
