Conveniently located in the middle of the Taos Plaza, Ogelvie's attracts a steady horde of tourists, which is too bad, because while Taos lays claim to several good restaurants, Ogelvie's is not one of them. Service is haphazard, the wine list is mediocre and the food---nachos, fajitas, burgers, steaks, some Italian and a board of New Mexican staples---is wholly pedestrian. On the upside, there's good live music on Friday and Saturday evenings, and the weekday happy hour proffers cheap drinks and snacks.
