THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Old Hickory House Restaurant Review:
Old Hickory House smokes up the neighborhood with pork, ribs and chicken cooked over an open pit of slow-burning wood. The family Brunswick stew recipe is eight-hour country cooking at its best. Breakfast loads up eggs, sliced barbecue pork, grits and fluffy made-from-scratch butter biscuits. Special for breakfast is the barbecue omelet, enfolding chopped pork barbecue into the eggs. Country-fried steak and gravy is house-made, a rarity these days. Ribs and sandwiches are available to go, and catering is offered. You won't want to leave without sampling banana pudding for dessert. Also located at 2202 Northlake Pkwy., Tucker, 770-939-8621.
