For East Coast transplants looking for a fix of their beloved Maine lobster rolls, Old Port Lobster Shack (or just the Lobster Shack to the locals) is all they need. The Portola Valley location, in the Ladera Shopping Center, features outdoor picnic tables, and communal condiments and cutlery. Lobster rolls come traditional or naked (without mayo) and chowder is offered by the cup, bowl or bread bowl. Plenty of beer on tap to choose from and Key lime pie to finish it off. Yes, they have other seafood standards, from steamers to calamari, and additional sandwiches (blackened tilapia or salmon), but the lobster rolls are what keep people coming back and are worth the price.
