Cheerful, prompt service and good deli fare in an unpretentious setting with tables indoors and on the sidewalk make this a good lunch spot. Soups are made from scratch daily; we recommend the chicken vegetable if it’s on the list. Sandwiches are made to order with fresh ingredients, including house-roasted turkey breast. Half sandwiches are enough for most diners. The salad bar includes potato and macaroni salads just like grandma’s. There's a municipal parking lot behind the deli, and street parking is also available. The eatery is within walking distance of funky shopping and city and county government offices, as well as the National Steinbeck Center.
