Jeremy Turner purchased the former Rocky’s in Virginia-Highland this past January and is still up to snuff with excellent salads and pizzas. He also does sandwiches, specializing in calzone. Salads are generously sized and excellent, and pizzas are creative without being silly. The white pizzas may well be the best ones, but they’re not available with the Sicilian crust, an option for the red-sauce pies. Dough is made on the premises, and the payoff is in the flavor. Steer clear of the muffaletta, which is served warm and lacks the traditional olive salad enhancement. Delivery is available after 5 p.m.
