Palms Thai Restaurant Review:

Palms Thai serves some of the best and most authentic Thai cuisine in Hollywood, and the bustling airy room, punctuated with carved wooden Siamese cats and huge, colorful fish tanks, is energetic. Sleek lacquered blond wood tables are usually packed at dinner, but waitstaff uses headsets to send orders to the kitchen, so service is snappy. On weekends there’s live Thai entertainment on the stage. The menu offers good renditions of the usual Thai favorites, but this is Thai Town, so you'll find more interesting items as well, such as deep-fried trout in mango sauce, quail with mint leaves, sort of a Thai steak tartare, wild boar in a spicy curry sauce, pepper-garlic frog, and spicy venison. By the way, at Palms, the word spicy on the menu is to be taken seriously. Wash down the spice with a cold Singha beer, or a refreshing lychee cooler. Mango with sticky rice is a delightful tropical dessert.
