When you are looking for good, basic Mediterranean lunch or dinner fare---everything from gourmet pizza to yogurt-marinated lamb kebabs to tasty vegetarian-delight salads and platters---served with a bit of culinary flare, this no-frills restaurant in the heart of Cleveland Clinic-land and on the western edge of University Circle is the place to go. Lights are low and so is the haunting Middle Eastern music, the booths and tables are cozy, servers are friendly, portions are large (in many cases, large enough for two), and the fresh-baked pita served with all meals and several appetizers puts on a real show. Baked in the kitchen’s wood-burning brick stove, it arrives at the table as a steaming puff ball that deflates before your eyes. Kids (of all ages) love it!
