THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Panda Country Restaurant Restaurant Review:

An stylish underwater motif, highlighted by built-in aquariums, helped this restaurant make a big splash when it opened in the late 1980s. The place still looks nice, and we like the fact that it has a full bar---uncommon in local Chinese restaurants---but we’re sorry to report that Panda Country has slipped into the valley of the humdrum. Still, the restaurant does right by its stir. fried baby bok choy with black mushrooms and its crispy shrimp toast. We’ve also been happy with the house special shrimp and chicken, battered and fried to a golden crispness, and stirred with a spicy-sweet sauce. The specialties tend to be more expensive---though not really costly---than the rest of the menu, but also notably better.
