This simple bakery-restaurant opens early each day to dole out strong, rich coffee to patrons who come for the standout croissants. Breakfast is a treat, with good grits, eggs prepared as ordered, house-made sausage, pancakes, waffles, french toast and all the trimmings. Lunch is of the sandwich/salad variety, but breakfast is the real draw. For brunch, there’s eggs Benedict, a Southwestern omelet, biscuits and gravy, and loaded potatoes, plus all the usual morning dishes.
