An unassuming neighborhood gem, Paul Martin's is worth the trek to the suburbs. With an intimate, refined atmosphere, a relaxing outdoor patio, and attentive, knowledgeable service, it is a good choice for locals and visitors alike. The menu is somewhat limited, but the dishes are decidedly Californian, featuring seasonal produce, sustainable seafood and natural meat. Starters include a butcher's board of local cheeses and cured meats, as well as a daily selection of oysters. Mains include grilled salmon with Meyer lemon vinaigrette, chimichurri steak, and polenta with seasonal vegetables and tomato cream. Take advantage of special fixed-price meals throughout the week, such as Monday's wine dinner for two or fried chicken Tuesday.
