THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED A very nice casual restaurant that blends American comfort and contemporary food with élan and pleasing enlightenment. The owner, Nick Andrews, watches over the place like a culinary hawk. There is a nice bar (eat here if that is your thing), and four booths opposite the bar, plus tables to the rear of the room. The vibe is casual with brick walls, high ceilings and brown paper over cloth (the robes of comfort-food restaurants). On the menu, you’ll find crab cakes on roasted corn salsa and lobster quesadillas as well as lobster baked mac ‘n’ cheese, baby-back ribs and broasted chicken. Service is knowledgeable and pleasingly informed. A fine place to eat anytime, but before an event at the United Center, the setting and proximity are ideal.
