At this little café, scenes of Vietnam line the walls above cozy booths, beneath globe pendant lamps hanging from a high, tin-stamped ceiling. Start with egg rolls, fried tofu or a tasty version of chao tom (sugar cane sticks wrapped in shrimp paste), before moving on to vermicelli with various toppings, curried chicken or pan-fried steak. And naturally, you can make a meal of pho, offered in several varieties, including a beefy combination of meatballs, flank steak, brisket and more in a savory broth. Cool off with a sweetened ice coffee. Pho Lemon is conveniently located in Old Town Monrovia, just around the corner from the movie theaters.
