Wolfgang Puck may have put the designer pizza in the spotlight, but CPK brought it to the masses. Although the bright yellow-and-black color scheme and high-tech setting have been softened, you still get hearth-baked pizzas topped with everything from barbecued chicken to Peking duck. The corporate kitchen is constantly experimenting, and some of the best ideas don’t always catch on, like the Philly cheesesteak or tandoori chicken pizzas. Sticking to the basics---cheese, pepperoni, or fresh tomato, basil and garlic---will minimize the risk, and the generous salads and surprisingly well-prepared pastas are always good bets.
