Seemingly ho-hum from the street, the interior of Fifi's is painted a cheerful yellow and gussied up with gilded mirrors, velvet and posters “en Français” --- just the place for a quiet tête-à-tête over lunch. There are escargots in garlic butter, a flavorful French onion soup or a cheese plate to start. We like the moules frites for a casual supper, juicy mussels cooked just so, the fries served hot and crispy. At brunch, the croque monsieur is everything it should be --- savory, a little chewy, and served up with soup and salad.
