Los Feliz Restaurant Review:

This bi-level hot-spot plays up the gothic-style Mexican angle to the hilt. With an underground space that's decked out in stone, this warren of rooms has a Day of the Dead meets Viennese café feel. Luckily, the flavors coming out of the kitchen are quite lively---you'll only feel like death if you overdo it on the tequila, of which there are 50 premium varieties, as well as specialty margaritas made with jalapeño and hibiscus. Food-wise, the tacos here best complement the tequilas, ranging from traditional sea bass and avocado to a haute cuisine mash-up with foie gras and mango compote. Don't range too far from the tacos, though. The appetizers, particularly the quesadillas, are bland in comparison, save for the crunchy pepita salad with pumpkin seed vinaigrette and frizzled tortilla chips.
