Don't believe it when cynics proclaim the death of North Beach: As long as Mario's is around, the neighborhood's spirit is alive. Wonderful coffee drinks, delicious focaccia sandwiches and a lemony ricotta cheesecake are served at the bar or one of the small tables. One of the most European of North Beach's cafés, it's a favorite with locals and European tourists in particular. Sit at the bar and enjoy the Sinatra CDs and have a punt e mes or the best cappuccino in the Beach.
