Remoulade Restaurant Review:

Arnaud’s and Arnaud’s Remoulade share a wall as well as ownership. At the latter, the far more casual sibling, you’ll find the same Caesar salad, pecan pie and some of the starters. The informal atmosphere, defined by old-fashioned drugstore tiles, lustrous woods and brass, attracts plenty of tourists who come for the muffuletta pizza and Cajun egg rolls. But the celebrated shrimp Arnaud in rémoulade sauce is on the list, too, as are the oysters stewed in cream, turtle soup and shrimp bisque. Under the pressed-tin ceiling, the price tags are substantially lower than what you'd fork over to the tuxedoed waiter at Arnaud's. Here’s the good news: you can order an oversize ice cream cone when you’re ready to leave and stroll down Bourbon Street as you eat it --- go local with the pistachio and praline flavor. At the bar, you can find a decent glass of wine, but this is the kind of place you’re more likely to join your fellow patrons downing Kamikazes or the locally beloved Sazerac.
