This Peruvian restaurant in a nondescript shopping center is a delightful surprise. Tempting dishes range from the ceviches and papa a la huancaina appetizers to chicharron de cerdo (crispy pork belly), a half roasted chicken with two sides, Peruvian-style sashimi, lomo saltado (sautéed steak with onions), and the national favorite chupe de camarones, a thick shrimp bisque served with rice. The only disappointment is an abbreviated dessert menu: flan, a so-so tres leches cake, and alfajores, the famous Peruvian shortbread cookies filled with dulce de leche.
