You’re in good hands with Rita and Carlo Didionisio at this warm and friendly minimall trattoria, which regulars consider to be their own hidden treasure in the west Valley. They do terrific pasta, thin-crust pizza and homey entrées such as pollo alla Toscanini and veal piccata. The fresh-from-the-oven focaccia is used for all the sandwiches and included with all meals, and it’s served with a zesty red sauce. The décor is nothing fancy, but then, neither was mama’s kitchen in Rome.
