THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pies 'n' Thighs Restaurant Review:

The Manhattan outpost of Pies ‘n’ Thighs, a hipster spot for Southern food in Brooklyn, is just as popular as its older, across-the-river sibling. The usual and beloved dishes are on the menu, including the chicken box, three pieces of tender, greaseless fried chicken, a flaky biscuit and a side (go for the burnt ends-spiked baked beans); a very good grass-fed cheeseburger topped with bacon and a fried egg; and cornmeal-encrusted fried catfish with cheesy grits. And then, of course, there are the pies: the banana cream pie is particularly appealing, pierced with a few vanilla wafers for maximum dipping pleasure.
