Originally a PJ’s Coffee & Tea Co., Still Perkin’ is a sunny coffeehouse where the young staff brews superior coffees using beans roasted by Coffee Roasters of New Orleans. Try the frozen lemonade granita in the heat of Louisiana summers, or a bowl of hot chocolate on bone-chilling winter days. The down-home pastry selection includes cookies, breakfast breads and sins, like the rich chocolate buttercream squares. If you’re not one of the many students toting a backpack full of homework, stop by the Garden District Book Shop upstairs for some quality reading material to complement your coffee.
