The Porch at Schenley Restaurant Review

: Commended for its green touches, The Porch at Schenley is situated in a bustling section of Oakland. A walk-up window offers morning customers coffee, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Dinner is full-service. The team is serious about locally sourced ingredients; there's even a rooftop garden. The menu changes in rhythm with market availability. Pizzas are a specialty, along with salads and sandwiches. In season, try the spring pea risotto. The "Rotisserie" section includes three items, perhaps chicken, prime rib and smoked pork shank. “Everything Else” presents mains ranging from pan-seared trout to oven-roasted meatballs. Desserts are homey and ordinary. The bar features a small selection of wines by the glass or bottle, craft beers and a few specialty cocktails.
