An illuminated tile bar begs business types to unwind over martinis while staring out the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Chicago River. The adjacent dining room departs from the steakhouse stereotype with glowing, red-glass mosaic wall accents, sleek dark-wood floors and ambient, if a bit lounge-like, music. Boasting locations in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Collinsville, Illinois, this spot specializes in pepperloin, which is tenderloin that has been marinated for two days, rolled in cracked pepper and herbs, and served alongside brandy-mustard sauce. It's good and tender, but doesn't leap out among the pack of meat-savvy spots, like Morton's, nearby. Others bites to try include the zippy Cobb salad, a nice lunch dressed with all the fixings in buttermilk vinaigrette, and the monstrous mound of coconut shrimp, which is tasty with honey mustard for dipping.
