Poseidon Restaurant Review

: Poseidon celebrates the SoCal lifestyle, with its beachfront patio dining, ocean views, fresh seafood and fun cocktails. Grab a seat and order up oysters or steamed mussels with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. Poseidon is also famous for clam chowder, New England-style, loaded with nuggets of potatoes and clams. We suggest the rocket salad: baby arugula speckled with dried cherries, strawberries, pears, Brie and toasted almonds in a Champagne vinaigrette. Chef Mourad Jamal lends his Mediterranean touch to seafood linguine, bountiful with daily catch, shellfish, spinach, garlic, cherry tomatoes and a lemon-caper butter sauce. He offers Kona coffee-rubbed rib-eye and citrus rosemary chicken breast. For brunch, the surf ‘n’ turf omelet is a feast with braised beef short ribs, sautéed shrimp, caramelized onions, cheddar and creamy lobster sauce, with a side truffled house potatoes. Kids like the mud pie for dessert, while adults should save room for the warm apple tart with cinnamon ice cream.
