: Hipster retro décor featuring white chairs and a string art mural will appeal to some and not others. But staff knows its stuff and communicates its culinary knowledge appropriately. True to its name, which derives from the concept of a "pour," a healthy splash of wine that is more than a taste but less than a full glass, this spot exudes conviviality. That fact allows diners to sample several wines while meeting and greeting fellow wine aficionados. Most of the selections on the extensive wine list are switched out daily, and come from small, family-owned vineyards in the Pacific Northwest, so guests can discover some special regional finds. For nibbles, a small-plate menu offers olives, nuts, spreads and cheeses to complement the wine tasting experience. If you’re seeking something more substantial, the expanded kitchen prepares dishes such as ravioli and risotto. |
